![]() Survival video games like H1Z1 and Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds are big hits with streamers on the internet. It plays on our natural need for survival along with our fascination with zombies. Being trapped in a room with a zombie was and is an intriguing way to spend one’s time. The movie Saw entered the lexicon and the concept of torturing a group of people in enclosed spaces swept the nation. Escape the Zombies + Other ThemesĮscape Room games originally began with horror theme. It’s not uncommon to see productivity increase after participating in an escape room. The effects of the experience will carry over to the office or workplace as well. The memories created during a team’s escape room game will bond the group together. One’s weakness might be another’s strength. Demonstrating how someone can benefit from the work of another opens up dialogue and sharpens communication. Solving a challenge with another person is proven to help overcome difficulties with a team member. Together it’s a winning combination in the fight to keep our brain’s bright and agile. We were working on our last lock when the timer rang (or figurative bomb blew up). ![]() We rented out a room with 3 other couples, so 8 of us worked to escape the room, and we were sooooo close, literally 10 seconds away from escaping. It’s a cute little house in downtown Austin, and inside are 4 different adventure rooms that you have clues and locks and things to figure out in order to escape. So if you live in Texas, or are traveling here, this is a MUST adventure! I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures inside, so these are all from their site, but TRUST me, it was lots of fun! Come to find out, they are not only in Austin, but also Dallas and San Antonio now. ![]() I’d never heard of it, but from her quick description, it sounded like just what I was looking for. As I asked around to a few people, I was so excited when my friend Shelley told me about the Austin Panic Room, also known as a Live Escape Game. A few weeks ago for my husbands birthday, I wanted to do something fun and different on a night out with friends. ![]()
